Ideas If You're At Home with Kids
Gov. Reynolds announced last Friday that schools across the state would remain closed through the end of the semester. While this news was somewhat expected it’s still difficult to process. We know how hard it is for the students and teachers, and parents at home.
We will continue to provide weekly activities for those of you at home with kids. Check out a couple resources below ⤵️
Schmoop
Schmoop offers study guides in a variety of subjects, including mythology, civics, film, history, science, and literature.
Cost: Study guides are free, but extra features like test prep come with a price.
HippoCampus
HippoCampus offers 17,000 educational videos in 13 different subject areas, geared at students in middle school, high school, and college.
Cost: Free
Outschool
Outschool offers small group video-chat courses presented by teachers and designed for kids ages 3 to 18.
Cost: Varies. Some classes are just $5.
PBS KIDS APP
We live in the real world, and sometimes you need to make a phone call, take a shower, or eat out at a restaurant without a screaming 3-year-old demanding all of your attention.
Hence, apps for toddlers.
This toddler App Teaches letters, colors, shapes, and numbers and should keep your kids' attention long enough for you to get something — anything! — done.
